HD Show in Las Vegas This Week

May 20, 2010

I always like to offer what might be good news for a change.  HD, the Hospitality Design Show in Las Vegas this week, was extremely busy on opening day, and steadily busy on the second day.  Designers and clients from San Francisco, Florida, Los Angeles, Las Vegas (of course),  New York, Montreal, Vancouver, Dallas, Houston, Chicago and other cities were on hand to view the show.  It was smaller than at its peak, but many of the most important exhibitors were there, including of course Bergamo and Donghia.

Certainly the hospitality design industry has been impacted as much as residential design, maybe more so.  However there was a sense in the crowd that there are projects out there, even some domestic ones (remember them?).  So, it was with some modest sense of optimism that people worked the show, and that in itself was a sign that improvement will be not only possible, but possibly probable.

Go design industry go!!
